Top Games releasing May 2021


Well, we are nearly halfway through 2021 and the gaming releases are starting to come thick and fast. Whether you are enjoying the fruits of the Series X|S or PlayStation 5 or sitting pretty with the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch or tricked out PC, this coming month looks to be jam-packed with new titles for everyone, so join us as we take a look at the – Top 10 Games coming in May.


Resident Evil 8: Village – May 7th

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PC

The long-awaited new entry in the legendary Resident Evil series is nearly here. Set in a European setting and for the first time featuring supernatural forces such as Lycans, Vampires and hairy blokes with big hammers. RE8 has taken strong influence from the infamous RE4 and continues the story of Ethan Winters. We cant wait to see the beautiful RE Engine come to life on Series X and PS5 but that involves coming out from behind the sofa first!


HOOD: Outlaws & Legends – May 10th

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PC

He steals from the rich and gives to the needy, keeps a small percentage but he’s not greedy, it’s the one and only Robin Hood! Shockingly a character that has been seen very rarely in games until now. This multiplayer PvP heist offering takes huge influence from the prince of thieves lore and aims to deliver a nail-biting, visceral experience for fans of the Nottingham legend. Just beware of anyone waving a spoon around!


Subnautica: Below Zero – May 14th

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC

A follow up to the original underwater survival experience Subnautica, Below Zero looks to expand on the original by giving players a much larger gaming world full of exciting and dangerous areas to explore. Gather resources, create tools, build bases and don’t forget to pack your thermos!


Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir – May 14th

For the first time, the Famicom Detective Series is coming to the western audience exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The Missing Heir and The Girl Who Stands Behind will both be available on May 14th for fans of visual novel mysteries.


Mass Effect: Legendary Edition – May 14th

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PC

At long last the calibrations are complete and Mass Effect Remastered is coming to a console near you. Featuring a slew of upgrades from visuals to gameplay, witness the story of Commander Shepard from start to finish across three award-winning games with over forty single-player DLC’s. Perfect to experience for the first time or to return to and enjoy all over again.


Days Gone – May 18th


Yes we know, this is technically not a NEW game but it is a damn fine open-world experience that is coming to PC for the first time with a host of visual and performance upgrades. Bend Studio created a memorable world that just begs to be explored but don’t expect a walk in the part, because this world comes for you!


Miitopia – May 21st

Nintendo Switch

Finally the Mii’s have a purpose in life! Miitopia, a popular 3DS title from 2017 that allows you to cast your Mii’s in exciting and fantastical stories is coming to Nintendo Switch. Set forth on a fun-filled adventure with RPG elements suitable for the whole family.


Biomutant – May 25th

PS4, Xbox One, PC

This long awaiting action RPG from Swedish developer Experiment 101 finally arrives on May 25th, featuring a beautiful open world to explore and a wide range of freedom to create your own Biomutant to suit your play style. We have had our eyes on this one for some time and cant wait to get stuck in.


Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground – May 27th

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC

The mighty world of Warhammer continues to swing with the latest video game adaptation, Storm Ground. Perfect for anyone who has wanted to try the dark fantasy world of Warhammer but doesn’t have a small fortune spare to afford to buy the miniatures.


Oddworld Collection – May 27th

Nintendo Switch

What could be better than a remake of a classic game? how about three remakes of three classic games? That is what is on offer for Nintendo Switch owners with the Oddworld Collection, featuring a ground-up remake of the original Oddworld plus the HD Remasters of Strangers Wrath and Munch’s Oddysee all in one tasty package.
