[Xbox Game Pass] Games you might have missed: March Edition

Another month, another great selection of titles added to XBOX GAME PASS! With such a wealth of titles available across Xbox Consoles, PC and mobile streaming via the cloud, your friendly neighbourhood bearded gamer’s have once again cherry-picked a selection of top new titles plus a wealth of games that you may have missed.

This month we have a great selection of indie gems for you, from wise guys in pinstriped suits looking to rule the city all the way to a tug on the heartstrings with a man trying to find and save his true love. Fancy something retro? then get your ass to mars! and if you like things a bit more mainstream, we have one of the greatest RPG’s from the Nintendo Switch’s library now available in the house of X plus a return to the galaxy far far away, let’s take a closer look!

Octopath Traveler

Experience one of the most celebrated adventures from the Nintendo Switch, now available on Xbox Game Pass. Eight travelers. Eight adventures. Eight roles to play in a new world brought to life by Square Enix. Explore each traveler’s story and use their abilities in and out of battle. Will you expand your horizons as the Merchant or track down a traitor as the Warrior? Where will you go? Who will join you? You alone can choose your path.

Star Wars Squadrons – Optimized for X/S

Yes we know, Squadrons may not be “New” to Game Pass but it has some pretty swanky X/S enhancements including improved graphics and lighting plus the ability to run at a dynamic resolution with framerates up to 120FPS so now you can really feel the force! The cockpit is your home. Use its dashboards to your advantage and with just a thin hull of metal and glass between you and the perils of space feel the intensity of combat from a first-person perspective. Take off in thrilling multiplayer modes and a unique single-player Star Wars story, which covers a key campaign near the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War.

Genesis Noir

Genesis Noir plays as a metaphorical narrative between a film-noir style detective movie and aspects of the creation and potential destruction of the universe. It plays out the events of the Big Bang, thankfully not the one with Penny and Leonard, as a metaphor between a broken romance between No Man (representing time) trying to stop Golden Boy (representing energy) from killing Miss Mass (the mass of the universe).

Narita Boy

Flash back to the 80s. The Creator, a genius of his time, creates a video game console called Narita One with its flagship title being a game called Narita Boy. Within weeks Narita Boy is the best-selling video game of all time, critically acclaimed for its homage to 80s culture and exceptionally kickin’ soundtrack. Meanwhile, inside the binaural code the digital realm connects with reality. Him has returned and deleted The Creator’s memories. Supervisor program, Motherboard, and her agents have activated the Narita Boy protocol. The Stallions are coming, and the Digital Kingdom need a hero.

Empire of Sin

Become like Nucky Thompson or Don Corleone and build a Crime Empire! Raise your criminal empire from the ground up by establishing rackets in your neighbourhood (be it speakeasies, breweries, brothels, union skimming, protection rackets, or casinos) and recruiting a team of loyal mobsters to make your mark on the streets. Once you make a name for yourself, expand your influence by taking over rival territory and adding more ventures to your repertoire.

DOOM Collection

Return to the glory days of fast-paced, brutal FPS’s action with the DOOM Collection. Featuring DOOM, DOOM 2, DOOM 3 and DOOM 64. Rip and tear your way through a selection of campaigns and face off against the ravenous beasts of hell or jump into multiplayer to rip and tear your way through the opposition in a quest for blood-soaked glory!

Dishonored: Definitive Edition

Dishonored, the recipient of over 100 Game of the Year awards, is an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. With Dishonored’s flexible combat system, creatively eliminate your targets as you combine the supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal. Pursue your enemies under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head-on with weapons drawn. The outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make.
