[Review] Damaged In Transit – Nintendo Switch

Get your drones ready, it’s time for some deliveries!

Damaged In Transit is a hardcore puzzle game about navigating and protecting two robots in order to safely deliver the goods.

Mechanics are simple and easy to understand. Control the direction of arrows plastered around the level to direct the robots in a path towards a flashing goal. Sounds easy enough, but trust me, it’s not. Obstacles will be introduced as you continue through the levels that will provide unique and challenging aspects to what otherwise would have been a breezy day at work. Sometimes changing the direction will activate spikes. Sometimes you can’t change the direction at all.

Multitasking and reflexes are key.

Each robot is on its own path facing its own challenges. You’ll have to keep an eye on what this means, quickly moving one robot right and half a second later moving the other left. If the difficulty proves to be too much, the developers were kind enough to give a difficulty setting that can be changed from the title screen. So if you get stuck, just decrease the speed. Or maybe it was too easy. Increase the speed and truly test those decision-making abilities.

The game offers 125 levels to learn and conquer, so plenty to consume. The art and music are inviting even when the levels can really test your skills. It’s almost inviting the way it’s designed. The game does count your death count, but even at 50 deaths, you’ll still say “Yeah I can beat this. Just one more try.” If you manage to beat a level on the first try, well congrats, it’s time for celebration.

Final Words:

Damaged In Transit is not for the weak of heart. Pairing cute art with difficult puzzles, this game promises to push your multi-tasking abilities. Mechanics are simplified and easy to understand, but if you can’t keep your eyes on where both your little robots are, you’ll be doomed. This game will compel you to try, try again. It’s addictive and a good pick for puzzle lovers.
